When you arrive on Sunday morning:

  1. Register your family at our computer located at the main lobby Welcome Desk. Our friendly volunteers will be there to assist you in this.

  2. Our nursery and toddler rooms are located on the main level, at the end of the hallway from the main entrance.  These rooms are for infants and children up to age 3.  A certified and screened volunteer will welcome your child and help them get settled. Remember to keep your guardian tag, so you can pick up your child at the end of the service. For babies, please leave a diaper bag and bottle that is clearly marked with your name.

  3. Preschoolers (Age 3-Kindergarten) and Grades 1-5 children will be dismissed during the service to go to their special teaching time.  The Preschool room is next to the woman’s washrooms on the main level.  Grade 1-5 classrooms are downstairs (take the coffee shop stairs). Remember to keep your guardian tag, so you we can make sure children leave with the correct adult!

Micro Church

At Deer Park Church, we call our children’s ministry, “Micro Church.” This is because we believe children aren’t just the future of our church, they are gifted members of our church today! So, we give grades 1-5 the opportunity to be trained and exercise their gifts in the areas of teaching, greeting, missions, and sound tech. Then, twice a year we have a Micro Church Sunday, where the kids take on a large supporting role in running our main service.

In Micro Church, we place the highest importance on teaching our children directly from the Bible. We believe that all Scripture points to our need to know and love Jesus as our Saviour. To make sure our kids learn this in new and creative ways every Sunday, we use the “Dig In” curriculum to lead our kids in interacting with Scripture on a deeper level.
